Avant Garde # 8 September 1969 Special Issue
Two Copies A & B
Ralph Ginzburg's Avant Garde Magazine,
a special issue published in September 1969.
Magazine A is 11" x 11" format in excellent,
clean, and tight condition, inside and out.
The cover is buff with a matte finish.
Magazine B is 11" x 11" format in excellent,
clean, and tight condition, inside and out.
The cover is buff with a gloss finish.
Both magazines contain the same art work ,but in some cases
a page is a different color from the other issue.
Neither issue indicates it is a proof copy;
the difference is not explained.
These issues include
a series of erotic gravures (engravings)
by Pablo Picasso.
They are intended to stand, as Picasso himself has said,
"as an abiding celebration of life itself."
